Grandma was originally supposed to be home from the medical center on Tuesday. However due to continuing problem with her heart they didn't want her to go just yet. Today after work I joined my mom in a trip to visit grandma at the Cardiovascular Medical center she had been taken to. The trip was supposed to include Ingrid and Karen but Karen got sick (which I know first hand is valid and not an excuse) But Ingrid just suddenly decided that she “doesn't do hospitals” and didn't want to see grandma in one. I talked with grandma today and they are going to keep her another night at least to make sure everything is ok. She said the procedure went well and that things seem to be going good so I have a feeling she will be able to leave tomorrow. They will decide sometime tomorrow afternoon. I called the hospital a little bit ago and talked with grandma's nurse. She said that grandma was sleeping and that she would pass on the message that I call, then she gave me an update on the situation. They think Grandma has what they call Tachy Brady Syndrome. Today was supposed to be Ingrid's big family dinner at Guadalajara Mexican food restaurant. Grandma called me at about 4:15 to tell me that she wasn't going to go because she felt dizzy. I really wish she would call me and ask for help but even now she doesn't want to impose. -_- It dawned on me that if we have snow like this grandma's path through her back yard is probably iced over. Grandma ended up in the hospital again tonight. She had been feeling sick since this morning when she woke up. All day she has been throwing up and progressively got worse. Over the President's Day weekend Ingrid had my grandma watch K-dog who was sick. Ingrid says he had pneumonia but I think he must have had something else contagious because grandma got violently sick today. Sometime on Monday grandma's blinds in her front window came down. She was just barely able to get them all the way down to prevent them from breaking (one side came down but not the other). To repair them she needed tape and a staple gun, both of which she has but the staple gun is apparently buried in the garage with everything else. -_ ( Read more... )
